SPC Vinyl Flooring. Similar to WPC & BPC flooring, an SPC vinyl is an engineered luxury vinyl that combines limestone and stabilizers to create an extremely durable core. An SPC vinyl floor is 100% waterproof, but adds stability, dent resistance and structure to commercial or residential flooring.
The main component is lime stone (calcium carbonate)+ PVC Powder + Stabilizer. It is much more stable, waterproof, fire resistant and harder wearing than WPC & BPC with a residential warranty of 20 years and a commercial warranty of 7 years+ depending on wear layer specification (thickness specified by the client).
It is a new type of eco-friendly flooring developed for the increased demand of world markets for NEW hard wearing flooring. It features zero formaldehyde, which makes it mildew proof and moisture proof, advanced fire resistance, stain resistant, anti-slip, 100% waterproof and is very easy to install.
An SPC vinyl has several main layers.
UV Coating - The UV coating protects against excessive wear and provides superior stain resistance.
Wear Layer–The wear layer is the top coating on the vinyl floor that is transparent. This adds scratch and stain resistance to the board.
Vinyl Top Coat decor film – Each SPC floor board will have a thin layer of vinyl attached to it. This layer is waterproof and will contain the pattern, texture and look of the floor.
SPC Core–The SPC core is made by combining limestone powder and stabilizers to create a dimensionally stable and waterproof core.
Attached Underlay–Specified by the purchaser. These are usually included to help with sound reduction and add softness to the floor.
